With the rapid development and popularization of the Internet, more and more people use the Internet to get information about living and working. Health is related to people’s life and safety, and health information is one of the most frequently searched information from the Internet.With the rise of WEB 2.0, besides the professional medical website, people began to get the health information from the Internet from the BBS, blog, Q & A community, social media etc. People now can not only browse professional medical health information website, but also can interact with other users, share information or experience, such original information created by the user and the information posted on the Internet is called’UGC (user generated content)’. Different from professional medical information and published academic literature, UGC information is easier to understand and use for normal users. However UGC health information is created with great freedom, lack of unified standards of supervision and control, resulting in the quality of information varies greatly. While health information is related to people’s life and safety, so the quality of Online UGC health information is particularly important.In this paper we first reviewed the related concepts and researches on Online UGC health information quality evaluation, comprehensively refer to the previous studies, and combined with the characteristics of the health information, selected the Online UGC Health Information Quality Evaluation index.Secondly, we used user questionnaire to get the rating of Online UGC health information quality evaluation index and did basic statistical analysis.Then we tested the reliability and validity questionnaire results, and adjusted the model based on the results of the statistical analysis.Finally we used the AHP method to give the weight of each index and formed the final online UGC health information quality evaluation index, and used the evaluationIndex to evaluate the actual health information of different UGC platform. Then we discussed the conclusion and give the recommendations.
