Education publishing is related to study, education and training, which has a direct bearing on a country’s education cause and serves education practitioners and learners of various ranges, thus being of vital importance. With the advent of the digital era as well as the progressing informatization of education, education publishing is right on the track of digitalization. Among these, private enterprises of education publishing, being a significant sector in the field of education publishing, have made remarkable achievements in digital education publishing.Keyi Group, Jinglun Group and Chunyu Group are three large-scale private enterprises of publishing that have established their brands and fame in the market of education publishing (especially of supplementary teaching books). Their digitalization drive is in the lead in the field so as to be highly representative in this regard, on which this dissertation is based.Chapter one introduces the background and meaning of the study and analyzes the current research in two aspects:study on digitalization of education publishing and on digitalization of private enterprises of publishing. Shortage of the current research is also dealt with in this part. As the next part, content and methods as well as innovative points of this study are covered. This chapter concludes with definitions concluding education publishing, private enterprises of education publishing and digitalization.Chapter two analyzes the current situation of digitalization of private education publishing. It starts with the status quo of education publishing in China and digitalization of private education publishing. Next, it introduces the digitalization drive of the three groups in three aspects:products types, operation manners as well as profit models, followed by advantages and weaknesses in the process.Chapter three deals with problems and hardships that private enterprises of education publishing face in their digitalization drive and the corresponding reasons. They include a lack of national policy support, double competition in and outside the field, incomplete products lines because of the lack of textbooks, difficulty in attracting professional practitioners and in inviting investment.Chapter four put forward some countermeasures for digitalization of private education publishing. They include giving more support via policies, further exploring the profit models, renovating forms of digital education publishing, performing multilateral cooperation, upgrading administration as well as strengthening the ability to attract investment in many ways.
