Design And Realization Of IPTV Set-top Box Mplayer

With the rapid development of computer communication technology and the popularization of optical fiber communication,and thanks to the promoting of multi-media fusion with telecommunications networks, cable tv networks and the internet,IPTV (Internet TV) is showing great prospects for development,it becomes the focus of attention in the industry. With the development of IPTV,IPTV set-top player as a kind of carrier for presenting a variety of business to users has huge potential market demand.The player is one of the core function module in STB,this paper is based on the huge market demand of IPTV STB to design and realize.The IPTV VOD terminal this topic researched use STB+TV receive mode,this form has both personal computer function and TV function.The IPTV STB chip used in this topic is the ST7109 chip,this chip is HD STB decoder chip with a high degree of integration,low price,and good performance,it provides a good hardware foundation for the realization of the IPTV VOD terminal.This paper discusses the realization of embedded Linux IPTV VOD terminal technology theory and core technology. Firstly,it introduces the development of IPTV on the whole;meanwhile,it gives a brief description of theory of technology the paper involveds,including IPTV STB technology,streaming media technology, and streaming media protocol(RTP/RTCP/RTSP/SDP)and MPEG-2 transport stream; The paper focuses on the system design of IPTV VOD terminals:interactive process of streaming media client and server,decoding of audio and video playback,and briefly introduces the module related to player module. In the design of client, this paper repacks the function of read and write; it increases the parse of the IPv6 address,and creat corresponding socket according to IPv4 and IPv6 address; the paper also purposes a network reconnection mechanism, it improves the users’experience of video effects. Finally, in order to realize the communication between the player and the other modules, it also designs the IPC communication module.The final realization of the player own play, pause, forward/backward function, it supports IPv4,IPv6 and broken network reconnection. After a lot of testing, the player has stable performance, good effect of video experience.The innovation of this paper is that the player supports both IPv4 and IPv6, and can realize the network reconnection.I mainly design and realize the client module.
