The existence of forest is closely linked with fire, and tends to affected with the fire. There is certai n regularity of forest fire. Scientific researching and mastering these rules,planning fire prevention resou rces combining with the fact, forecasting forest fire danger, conducting simulation analysis of forest fire spread, aiding decision making, and assessing casual loss in economic and ecological benefits, can effectively reduce the damage of forest fires.This platform comprehensively uses basic data of TM remote-sensing image, DEM digital elevation map, sub-compartment of forest sources in 2009, fire statistics, administrative division, road transportation, and river system, combining nature resources, for instance, geographical location, meteorology, terrain, soil, river and forest, as well as social and economic situation according to theories and crossing theories, such as forest fire prevention, ecology, statistics, investigation and evaluation of forest resources and 3S technology integration, etc. It adopts VS2010 development platform of software, develops language directed at C#, SQL Server 2008 database and ArcSDE space database and embedded GIS component tool library of ArcGIS Engine 10.0 to establish an information service platform of forest prevention based on GIS. This platform integrates acquisition of fire information, information processing and analysis, information application, including two function modules, i.e. basic manage function and application service. Basic manage function modules include functions of documents, layer editing, data statistics, choice, basic operation of map and calculation and other functions. Application service function modules include functions of information search, forest fire aiding decision making, forecast of forest fires, spread simulation of forest fire and damage assessment of forest fire and other functions. Information search function is mainly to realize the search of forest fire statistical data in Beijing in 1986 and 2006, sub-compartment of forest sources and basic information search, such as fire hydrant; forest fire aiding decision function is mainly to realize the location of fire point, the search of the nearest fire hydrant from the fire point and path analysis of the optimal extinguishment route; forest fire level is divided on sub-compartment by calculation and analysis of space information of relevant factors of forest fire. When forest fire happens, spreading simulation analysis can be conducted by spreading simulation method of sub-compartment forest fire based on many directions on a plan after locating fire point. Damage assessment of fire region can be conducted by using angle gauge. The establishment of information service platform of forest fire prevention provides clear, optimized and visual information of fire prevention,with aid decision making for firemen, which enhances the information level of forest fire prevention.
