Forest is extremely important natural resource on the earth and it is very important to the development of human society.In recent years,forest fire has been a kind of forest disaster which does great harm to the forest resource.Because of the increasing of human activities,forest fire has become the most serious forest disaster which has brought huge loss to the lives and property of our nation and people.So nowadays the research emphasis of forest-fire prevention work has been how to prevent the occurrence of fire,how to control the expansion of fire,how to master the situation around,how to take effective measures to remedy it and how to minimize the loss.This article firstly introduced the research background and the present situation and the existing problems in forest-fire prevention at home and abroad.Then,it did system requirements analysis and overall design to the information system of forest-fire prevention.Based on ZigBee,the Data Acquisition System(DAS)of forest-fire prevention,this article made detailed designs to the system and selected related models.And at last,realized the system function model.This system takes Visual Studio 2005 as its development environment,SQL Server 2008 as its database management and ArcGIS Engine as its secondary development plug-in,and it can be developed according to the requirements analysis.The system can not only realize the basic function of GIS,such as map browser,free zoom,map map researching,map making and shortest-path analysis.It can also achieve functions like auto-position of fire point,after-fire loss analysis and some related key functional models.The content of this research is a brand new explore to the forest-fire prevention.It has been a completely new trial to the work of forest-fire prevention by combining automatic monitoring with information system.It would play a positive role in improving the technology of forest-fire prevention and preventing the occurrence of fire effectively and make the informationization of the work of forest-fire prevention more meaningful.
