On The Design And Implementation Of A Sotower Platform Based Scientific Research Management System For A Power Group Company

In recent years, the scientific research management has been paid great attention to in power enterprises. With the increase of R&D spending and scientific research projects number year by year, it is required that the methodology and mechanism of project management should be improved. To further improve the streamline, standardization and scientification of scientific research management by using information technology, the development of a standard scientific research management system is becoming increasingly important.The scientific research management in some power company still runs in a traditional way instead of adopting information management system, which leads to very low working efficiency to some extent. The case becomes even worse when a manager in a specific department goes on business, the office processes always get interrupted. In the meantime, the traditional management system results in a big waste of physical resources which is not conducive to sustainable development. Therefore, it is urgent for this company to develop an information management system to improve daily work.In this thesis, a scientific research management system for power enterprises is well designed on the basis of understanding the current situation of project management in power enterprises, analyzing the research background of project management information, and sorting out the office process of project management for a subsidiary of some power enterprise. The new system includes the overall architecture, business function, data model, system integration and system security. Its development and construction are based on SoTower platform. It is advanced, practical and helpful for solving problems for the company.By utilizing the mature architecture of SoTower platform, the system implements the functions of projects planning management, projects initialization management, processing management, experts database management, and post evaluation management. It also realizes the overall data management of scientific research projects and data sharing and integration partly with the existing systems of the subsidiaries.
