With the changing society, our national economy becomes stronger than before. The quality of people’s life is also rising, so the requirements of food become higher than before too. People are more concerned about food safety issues. In recent years, food safety incidents occur frequently, especially on meat products, there are a lot of incidents were reported. How to track agricultural products effectively has become an urgent global issue. The Barcode technology as a widely applicable automatic identification technology has been applied to all walks of life; it was proposed by people in the 1970s. The one-dimensional bar code has the storage capacity limitation. The two-dimensional bar code can store large amounts of information. It likes a small mobile data repository that can store large amounts of information directly unrestricted by system database. These features make it rapidly developing and applying in the current social environment.1、Based on the analysis of current meat traceability system and focused on the meat information traceability system based on two-dimensional bar code technology. This research analysis the key technologies of two-dimensional bar code. After analyzing the two-dimensional bar code types, characteristics, choose to use the two-dimensional bar code QR Code technology to build and improve meat traceability system to ensure high transparency of meat product information. It can protect the quality of meat and increase the safety of meat.2、This system based on the technical characteristics of the two-dimensional barcode (QR Code), analysis the encoding, decoding and other key technologies to produce QR Code and read QR Code. It combines meat and other business-critical point to produce business processes. According to the information chain made up by pig carcass, dyad, tetrad and grade meat to produce the QR Code and achieve "from farm to table" the whole process of meat production traceability system.3、In order to meet the needs of different users with different user terminals, such as the common user, quality users, company users and system user, design and implement the Web-based meat Information traceability system and Android-based mobile client meat Information traceability system. Common users can use mobile phone to scan QR Code directly to get the product information. They also can use laptops, tablet PCs, desktop computers, smart phones to get production information by query code. Quality users can query more detail meat product information, when common users found one problem, the quality user can trace to it. Company users after company enrolling, they can manage company information and produce products two-dimensional code.To implement this system, it makes use of the ASP.NET systems development technology, C# programming language, SQL server database, Android development platform, Eclipse development platform and web page design and other important technologies. After testing, practice shows that meat traceability system can greatly improve the transparency of meat information. Consumers can know the meat information, so that consumers have more confidence to buy pork products. Making use of this meat traceability system, consumers can timely detect problems to ensure the quality of products and increase food safety.
