The Development Of Publishing Editing Information Management System

Network and information technology are widely used in the publishing enterprise management and publishing business, they promote the progress of modern society and the innovate development of economic, and also accelerate the continuous deepening of publishing industry reform. As a publishing company, Company A is in the rapid development of publishing industry, so the design of an editing information management system which conforms to Company A’s own development becomes the key factor to adapt to market competition.The development of Company A’s editing information management system is the research content of this paper. In the introduction part, the current situation, signification of editing information management in China, and the thought of developing a publishing company’s information management system are introduced, and the used related technologies in the developing process of system, such as JSP, JavaScript, XML, SQL Server database are represented. The second part elaborates the key contents about the system, including system’s business requirement, work flow design from book and picture design to comprehensive management of manuscript, implementation technology, operation effects and so on. More specifically, the key contents include the function modules design of basic data, personnel information, customer care order, editing business, production, outsourcing order management and others, database design of different function modules, and implementation technologies of system function for adding, deleting, submitting, reviewing, querying and form outputting. By the system, we realize the whole working process information management of Company A, which includes from customer care staff filling customer care order to designing, producing, outputting, quality checking, outsourcing, etc. In addition, the operation effects about every system management module are also represented. The final part describes the test work of system developing process based on W test model, and looks forward to the future development of publishing information management.
