The coming of information age has been announced by means of the development of internet technooge.Humankind is experiencing the great intergration of new science and all knowledge syetem,and the information technologe has begun to infiltrating into a lot of subjects。Since the information technologe has achieved constant progress and digital internet has set foot in all the aspects of all the fields of traditional publishing. The subjcet of editing and publishing is starting to be expanded into the editing and publishing informatics,which embodies the trend of knowledge informationization.This paper is started with the information theories and technological application of editing and publishing system。It sums up the information theories relating editing and publishing syetem from the perspective of the subject construction.These theories not only contains some classic ones such as Information,Control,System,etc,but some brand new ones which worth serious researches,such as Dissipative Structure,Synergetics,Catastrophe,etc.The paper also gives a generalization and a describtion referring to all sides of the application of information technologe from a new angle.Since the editing and publishing informatics is still a very young subject, it will take a long term to informationize,the syetem of editing and publishing.The paper has analysed the difficulties when the syetem is informationized,and has come up with some suggestions from the time background of subjcet informationization and the features of editing and publishing.
