Study Of Disproving Rumors Of Pseudoscience On The Network Platform Of Science Popularization Guokr

With the development of science and technology, mankind has entered the developed modern society; they also face more unpredictable risks. Thus various risk events has become a breeding ground for rumors. The rumor relies on networked digital technology and new media platforms to spread faster and wider range. These Internet rumors in the name of science are closely related to human social life and have a greater influence and social harm. In this context, represented by Guokr, civil organizations that disseminate science participate in the work that smash rumors of pseudoscience, and achieve the purpose of science popularization in the new media environment. However, in the development of civil platform and in the implementation of disproving rumors, there will be some difficulties inevitably. It needs to further improve civil science platforms; it is also worth rethinking for policymakers and researchers in study of controlling rumors.This thesis takes Guokr as research object to explore the network platform of science popularization which is a kind of scientific public field how disprove rumors of pseudoscience and dispel rumors and spread scientific truth in the new media era. First, this thesis describes and explains the status of disproving rumors of pseudoscience in Guokr. Part one gives a clear introduction of rumors’ subject. Part two introduces the three sites of themes which interact with each other how to disprove rumors. Part three analyzes the effects of disproving rumors in Guokr at present. Secondly, from the analysis of the elements in the rumors disproving, the thesis discuses the basic process of "rumor smash" through some specific cases. Meanwhile, the thesis presents and dissects stepwise work of disproving rumors based on case studies in the emergencies. Thirdly, this thesis carries out the in-depth study of the mechanisms of disproving rumors in Guokr, including setting mechanism of rumors issues, dynamic mechanism of disproving rumors, as well as diffusion mechanism of science truth, which discusses the civil organization Guokr how realize the goal that dispel rumors and disseminate scientific truth. From the perspective of science communication, it provides a reference for the study of controlling rumors in the new media era. Finally, according to the reflection on the mode of disproving rumors in Guokr, this thesis probes the malpractice and problems in the study of controlling rumors and the development of civil scientific platform, and proposes some actionable recommendations.
