Children are the reserve forces for national development and the hope of nationalrejuvenation. Develop and improve children’s scientific literacy is the key to the overallnational long-term science and technology development.The television media have unique advantages on children’s popularization of science byvirtue of visual image, coverage, targeted, flexible and diverse characteristics. TV mediathrough a variety of science and technology Television programs for children for popularscience, but science and technology programs for the children audience is the main form ofscience.China’s children’s television science programs covering wide range of scientific fields;Topic selection close to children’s life. In the program planning and production structures areoften in various forms to build the bridge between science and children; pay attention to theactivities of an opportunity to produce special events programs; by the television stations,enterprises, universities or research institutes co-produced programs. CCTV and Provincialchildren’s channel is the main front of children’s television science programs broadcast;program duration based on the children’s needs and the type of program; replay frequencyarrangement is reasonable. In addition, children have their uniqueness on the physical andmental characteristics, viewing behavior, viewing the attitude and motivation, and so on.Children’s science program is a whole set of sound and picture, television programelements have obvious advantages and the effect is outstanding.Presenters, images, audiolanguage, actual sound, stereo music, subtitles are children with a very strong flavor andscientific temperament. First, the host asked innocence and wisdom coexist, cartooncharacters to join the program also adds a humorous atmosphere. Secondly, the screenrequires bright colors, lively lens and fine shoot. Thirdly, the language concise and vividsound, the facts stated science, tells the story of science or to use heuristics to guide children’s suspense discovery science. In addition, smart subtitles have reinforce and remindingeffects; the use of actual sound restore the true scene and highlighting the authority. Besides,exaggerated sound effects and cheerful music programs are added innocence and childlike.Through the general overview, case studies and audience research. We found thedeficiencies of children’s science television and proposed the optimize countermeasures fromprogram production, distribution and marketing. There are four problem of children’stelevision science programs. Firstly, insufficient number and less quality. Secondly, notinteractive and preaching sauvignon. Thirdly, rigorous enough and entertainment overdone. Atlast, broadcast time is out of step with children’s lifestyle. In view of the problems, I Proposedto improve the scientific quality of the program, spice up the programmes, expand the breadth of the program content, deepen innovative programs to achieve the four levels of interactiveprogramming optimization. The transmission of the program is innovated in3aspects,including the structure of2-level spreading mode from parents/teacher to children, multichannel stereo mode of transmission and the establishment of sharing and interactive platformfor children’s science programs. Using promo, star effect, derivative product development thefour areas to open up the program’s marketing path.
