With the rapid development of economy, the problems such as strained resources and environmental pollution are growing fastly. In order to not only response to the trend of earth science development and resolve problems of resource and environment, but also actively participate in international cooperation and communication and enhance the competitiveness of our country in the aspect of earth science, a large data sharing platform of earth science needs to be built to achieve kinds of data sharing. Meanwhile, the developments of earth science in our country can be promoted by such methods as organizing and coordinating all departments, synthesizing various detection methods and further strengthening the deep detection of earth, which can provide lots of data support for data sharing platform.It has certain difficulties to realize the data sharing platform according to the data characteristics of widespread source, interdisciplinarity and huge amounts. However, GIS is a comprehensive subject, with the powerful discipline and the processing and analysis ability to spatial information, so it can point the way to construct the platform. Combined with the rapid development of Web technology, a data sharing platform of WebGIS is need to be structured, so as to provide a platform of data exchange and sharing for the deep detection of earth.The basic services of the system are designed and built based on the principle of SOA. The system accessing with high extension and interactive model are implemented based on the system service. The data model is designed based on the feature of each kind of data,which contains the metadata model,dataset model and the data organization structure model. The operation system is designed based on the B/S model. The client integrates the JavaScript,ExtJS,BaiduMap,Openlayers to realize interaction of user and map service. The Web server uses Tomcat of mainstream. The map server uses open-source GeoServer. through the WMS services, we can release the space data into layers. The system uses PostgreSQL, CouchDB, PostGIS and LDAP.The system takes WebGIS as the core,which providing the map service and data inquiry, and useing Shiro and LDAP to construct the system security module. All the functions of servers are implemented by using the techniques of JavaEE and Servlet. The data sharing platform of WebGIS has been finished and applied foronline service, which promotes the development and detection of earth and implements the sharing platform of data.
