The data acquisition technology has been widely applied in many area like military affairs, industries, and medical treatment. In different area, the functional requirement of it is becoming diversified. For example, in military area, data acquisition technology has been applied in detection of satellite or military aeroplane and signal detection. In medical area, it has been used to detect heart rate of patients, and in industrial area, it has been applied in detection of working in workshop. To solve the problem that customers asked, a multifunctional data acquisition device with the benefits of multifunction, adjustable parameter, high-speed communication and low cost is presented in this paper.The multifunctional data acquisition device is designed with the function of multi-channel data acquisition, digital to analog conversion, PWM time series output, digital input/output and high-speed USB communication. It realized the design goal of multifunction, adjustable parameter, high-speed communication and low cost. This system is mainly comprised of upper monitor software which based on Lab VIEW and a lower computer based on STM32. With the parameter configuration display software in upper monitor, function selection, parameter configuration and the display of sampled data can be realized. To control cost and diversify the function of this system, a STM32F407IGT6 MCU is used as the core processor of lower computer and USB communication is used to receive configured parameter from the upper monitor and to achieve corresponding functions. High-speed USB is used to communicate between upper monitor and lower computer, and also used to send configuration parameters to lower computer and send sampled data of the lower computer back to the upper monitor to display. The experimental test indicates that, this design well-coordinated upper monitor and lower computer, realized the function of parameter adjustable, high-speed communication, low cost and highly integration which comprised of a multifunctional data acquisition device, the device meets the expected design requirements.At first, this paper introduced the research meaning of Multifunctional Data Acquisition Device, the primary coverage of the research and developed a detailed design plan, and then specifically designed the software and hardware of it. At last the functional test is carried out with the consideration of software and hardware. Finally, a multifunctional data acquisition device with adjustable parameter, high-speed communication, multifunction and low cost is realized in this paper.
