So in order to get enough data during dead time, it request that a system must be of high-speed data transferring and a large mount of memory. The hardware system designed in this thesis is a good resolution for the above programs. This thesis researches the design and implementation of underwater high-speed multi-channel data acquisition and signal processing system. There are some contents to be presented including discussing correlation techniques and the system structures of high-speed multi-channel data acquisition system; design and implementation of a underwater high-speed multi-channel data acquisition and signal processing system based on PCI bus interface and DSP; programming the software, especially the device driver software for this system; comparing some frequency measurement methods frequently used in Doppler log, then using the Zero-Crossing Algorithm to estimate the velocity on the theory of the phase-array Doppler log with the help of the data acquired by this system. The system bases on the PC PCI bus interface, which improves the speed of the data transferring greatly; it uses the TMS320C54X DSP as a digital signal processor in this system; it also presents the application of programmable ASIC in design of electronics systems in this thesis, the exciting future of the application of programmable ASIC in real-time DSP system is mentioned too.The implementation of this signal acquisition and processing system will provide a useful and credible instrument for the underwater signal processing experiment.
