The Design For High Speed Data Acquisition System Based On PCI Bus

It i s n ecessary t o have a n ew s ystem b ecause t he old system c an n ot meet the requirement of the high speed data transmission. The data acquisition system based on PCI bus resolves the bottle-neck problem. The paper introduces the property of PCI bus, describes the signals, commands and the transfer protocol of PCI bus, configuration technologies and DMA transmission technologies. The device adopts PCI9054 chip from PLXTech Corporation to design data acquisition a nd adopts c omplicated p rogrammable logic d evice ( CPLD) to d esign the control part of the system. The paper describes the composing of the device driver,WDM architecture and introduces some popular driver development kit such as DDK ,DriveStudio,WinDriver. Then designs the device driver of this data acquisition system using DriveStudio.
