With the development of science and technology, it required that the technical level of data acquisition system should be higher and higher. In different areas, data collection instruments are used more widely. Traditional data collection instrument, because of its bulky, non-portable, single function and other shortcomings, has become increasingly difficult to meet the functional requirements of the practical diverse application. Thus, the virtual instrument technology is introduced. Virtual instrument combines the powerful data processing ability of computer and peripheral rich software and hardware resources, there has been a set of powerful development of high efficiency, low cost of instrumentation systems, LabVIEW is an application development software which is based on this virtual instrument technology.This paper presents the design of high-speed data acquisition and management system based on LabVIEW. After the system is started by the user to begin data acquisition, the system is able to save the raw data into a file and a database record, and then it enables the playback of the data waveform and the management of the data records. The hardware part of the system uses a PCIe data acquisition card to complete the data acquisition, the design of the software part uses the thought of the hierarchical and modular division.This paper surveys and analyzes the high speed data acquisition system, with the current level of the development of LabVIEW which is a virtual instrument graphical programming software, through the programming of the underlying hardware drivers, completting the building of high-speed data acquisition platform based on LabVIEW. However, for the larger amount of data in case, it is not convenient and flexible for the data to be stored in document form, the combination between the third-party software interfaces of LabVIEW and the dedicated Structured Query Language achieves visitting the MySQL database. Eventually, the design and practice of the high-speed data acquisition and management system based on LabVIEW is completed, and a functional debugging and testing of the system is also done well.
