In recent years, the technology of mobile core network is growing significantly. The demand for the reliability of network and service by the operators is also rising. However, for the traditional mobile communication network, one RNC/BSC can only be connected to one MSC. Because of this, it is unable to achieve maximum utilization of resources. When there are too many RNC/BSC’s managed by the MSC, it results in resource congestion; and when there are too few RNC/BSC’s managed by the MSC, it results in resource waste. Meanwhile, when the MSC fails or there’s a power failure, the connected RNC/BSC will break down, resulting in a major accident. To overcome this difficulty, MSC POOL network technology emerges. It has become an essential trend for the future development of telecommunication network.Compared to traditional network, MSC POOL has obvious advantages in terms of resource utilization and disaster recovery capability. This study analyzed the difference between the traditional network and MSC POOL. It also demonstrated the advantages using MSC POOL network technology. In addition, this thesis provided the detailed MSC POOL network solutions based on my in-depth research and engineering practice in Linyi city, Shandong Province.This work analyzed the key technologies in the MSC POOL renovation project in Linyi city, Shandong Province, and provided some solutions for MSC POOL network technology. It provided a high standard, reasonable, and efficient implementation process for MSC POOL network.
