Real-time monitoring of the processing status has a very important significance to the automation production efficiency and to improve processing quality. This topic is based on open CNC system, take network engraving machine as an entry point to study design and implementation techniques that remote video monitoring and fault diagnosis of engraving machine processing state based on Internet, aimed to provide a new approach and new ways to real-time monitor and exception diagnosis of the CNC system processing status.According to the video monitoring module and fault diagnosis module, this paper mainly introduces the software design and development of remote video monitoring subsystem and fault diagnosis subsystem which based on image processing. The former based on C/S structure, design and implement client and server software. Among them, the client software design is the focus of this subsystem. Use Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 as the development software, the realization of the function includes video preview, video display, video recording, video playback, manual alarm, multi-screen display; On the basis of engraving machine processing experience, fault diagnosis subsystem chooses two main fault:tool wear and workpiece displacement, which have a high frequency in the process, as the research content, adopting the method of digital image processing, achieve automatic detection of the cutting knife, knife collapsed and workpiece shift that selected. In automatic fault recognition algorithm design and implementation process, using digital image processing, such as histogram equalization, gray mapping, based on the gradient information of the edge detection, template matching algorithm and other classical algorithms to achieve implementation of the accurate judgment for precise positioning, segmentation and fault types in the image. Finally, when the result turn out to be fault, an alarm and stop as well as record a process state video that failure occurs, strengthen the collection and management of fault information in the operation process of network engraving machine.The goal of this subject is to achieve real-time monitoring, fault self-test, alarm linkage functions of network engraving machine status which in unattended machining workshops through rational design of the system architecture, thus achieve operating humanized and production streamlined. Ultimately realize the high performance in the sense of actual production.
