Analysis And Design Of Gas Initial Request Module Processing On AC Phased Of Hotspot2.0

Nowadays in the wave of mobile internet, both faster hardware equipment better user experience and more open usage scene have higher demands for the Internet. The first and most important requirement is the demand of more convenient access to Internet. With the rapid development of WLAN technology, facing the complex network environments, traditional wireless hotspot only provides network access point name and signal intensity. Switching between different network need extra authentication. A series of complicated processes cannot meet the needs of people.This topic is based on a company’s software platform and will expand features on its devices. The purpose is to implement Hotspot2.0 protocol draw up by the Wi-Fi Alliance. According to the actual situation, it involves only Hostspot2.0 protocol Release 1 (version 1.0). The protocol is based on 802.11u protocol and modified some details by Wi-Fi Alliance. Its purpose is to achieve switching between the cellular network and the Wi-Fi network seamless, supporting online registration offering more abundant network information and more secure way of identity authentication. Release version 1.0 is focus on how to implement the expansion of the AC/AP side ability. According to this version, it will support configuration of network information on the AC side for the user to query.This project will use the waterfall V model of software development. It determines the demand scope by studying Hotspot2.0 protocol first and will reference the Wi-Fi Alliance Passpoint Certification Test Standards to make more practical modifications. After the project completed and successfully passed the acceptance test of the company, this project will put into practical use.In project development, I am responsible for the reception、decoding and delivery of GAS Initial Request message in GAS module.
