The Research Of Architectural Article Production, Spatial Distribution And Key Words(1994-2013)

From the beginning of the 20 th century, Chinese modern architectural and urban planning industries have been growing and shaping with the rapidly growing of economic and urbanization. Until now, majority of architectural research discussion was concerned about the final practical results or so called ?architecture work?, instead of the changing progress of Chinese modern architecture discipline itself.In recent years, the urbanization rate of China has come over 50%, at the same time, problems like imbalance of architectural value judgment, aphasia of intercultural communication, weakness and missing of the quality control from systems are becoming more and more serious. So it is necessary now to review the development process and history for a better future of this industry.This dissertation choose article production as the point of penetration of observing the discipline?s developing and changing, several main architectural colleges and ten professional periodicals are the chosen samples. By calculating and anglicizing their article production and high frequency key words and also, Observe the pattern of their evolution, we trying to do help in understanding the discipline?s developing in 1994-2013.The dissertation is divided into 5 chapters. Fist defines the essentiality of article production research and reviews exesting researches both in China and abroad.Second, reviews the social impression and history of communication theory and, constructs the relationship that knowdelge production in Levefere?s conceptual triad, to derive the changing of colleges and piriodicals? rule and function, and also the changing of knowledge production modal.The third and forth are empirical chapters, mainly based on Utilizing the search engine and statistics functions of the CNKI(National Knowledge Infrastructure), The paperarticle centers on studies the production and distribution of academic papers and key words by 26 Chinese architecture colleges from during the period of 1994—2013, and observes their evolution over the recentpast 2 decades.With as the conclusion, the author explores the possible effect of globalization academic evolution, and examines related appropriate strategies to the different colleges inland China. The data landscape of research analysis is summarized in final part. In the next period of China urbanization, the construction scale may be reduced and the development speed will slow down; the shrinking market requires the wider and deeper extension of architecture and urban planning sector, with higher socialization and professional competence. It is concluded that the exiting educational pattern is supposed to transform, generating the diverse coexistence of comprehensive development and specialization in individual field.
