With the development of wireless communication technology, wireless sensor network is widely used in military, medical and health care, intelligent transportation, environmental monitoring and other fields. Since current research has some problems, such as focusing on function rather than power consumption, a single power supply and inflexible short address allocation mechanism in Zig Bee, this thesis aims at solving the requirement of more wireless sensor network node and more survival time, this paper studies low power wireless sensor network node circuit based on the Zig Bee, which will be very important in application.Basing on the study of wireless sensor network technology development at home and abroad, this paper uses CC2430 as the wireless chip, designs the hardware circuit of the coordinator node and sensor node, which is used in wireless sensor network; it also optimizes the management mechanism of Zig Bee network routing, improves the effective utilization of routing nodes short address;develops the PC monitoring and control system;The designed sensor node consumes 29 m A current in the state of emission, its maximum instantaneous power is 85 m W, the working current is 0.3 m A and power consumption is 1m W in the state of standby mode,Author has tried to use the solar energy and micro energy as the power to supply sensor node;With the wireless sensor network system platform. this sensor node could be applied in the monitoring system for people counting and the monitoring system for archive environment. The main research works are as follow:① Analysing the status quo of co RF wireless protocol and application both at home and abroad, and comparing several common RF wireless protocols, author chose Zig Bee as communication protocols, analyzed the problems of wireless sensor network applications, and determined research contents of this paper.② Comparing the commonly used three kinds of topology in the Zig Bee network, writer chose the mesh network as the communication topology, analyzed algorithm of the mesh network, determined the CC2430 as the node of the microprocessor and wireless communication chip in consideration of the hardware architecture module, power consumption, the development environment, cost and requirements.③ The sensor node of wireless communication module, human-computer interaction module, sensor module and power module were designed, and the PCB layout was drew in this paper. Based on the design of sensor node hardware, the USB communication module and storage module on coordinator were designed; the PCB layout was drew too.④ The driver for the sensor node and the coordinator node in the IAR Embedded Workbench development environment was writen, application in Z-Stack was designed, and the management mechanism of Z-Stack was optimized, the utilization rate of the routing node short address also was improved. The program for the PC monitoring and control system of archives of environmental monitoring in the Visual C++ development environment was writen.⑤ The power consumption of sensor node was tested, and the sensor nodes can be applied to different work environment by two kinds of power-supply modes. Finally, the application of the monitoring system for people counting and the monitoring system for archive environment based on the wireless sensor network system platform were realized, which showed that the system can meet different application.
