The development, relevant factors and problems of social media in rural areas of Xingtai are based on questionnaire investigation and visit, as well as the statistics and analysis upon the collecting data, afterward we can seek the potential measures for resolving these problems. The investigation shows that the use and contact of we media are influenced by following factors such as politics, economy and social development, as well as personal factors such as age, education and income. At the same time, as the process of urbanization in China has been accelerated, different classes appeared in rural areas quickly such as migrant workers, the left-behind children, old aged and university students from rural areas. Each of them has different habits in using we-media.Besides the sociological factors such as age, education background and age, some new phenomenon also deserves our great attention including the Digital Divide that exists between urban and rural areas, as well as the Information Divide that exists among the people of different ages. For example, old-aged people prefer traditional media like TV, news paper, while the young prefers we-media, all these efforts result in the difference between using and receiving information, and generation gap between the old and the young. These factors will have a negative impact to the balanced development of rural areas; therefore it is necessary to conduct a study to this phenomenon.
