In 2019,the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council formally issued the "Long-term Plan for the State's Active Response to Population Ageing".The document pointed out that population ageing is an important trend in my country's social development,and it is also my country's basic national conditions for a long period of time in the future.According to the "China Rural Development Report 2020" issued by the Institute of Rural Development of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences,China's urbanization rate is expected to reach65.5% by 2025.It is conservatively estimated that the newly added rural migrant population will be more than 80 million,and the rural population will be over 60 years old.The proportion of the population will reach about 124 million people,accounting for 25.3% of the total rural population.Rural areas have to bear more important tasks for the elderly than cities.However,compared with cities,rural areas are extremely weak in terms of population quality,economic level,and social services.Therefore,how to let the rural elderly enjoy their old age has become a problem that has to be paid attention to.This article will use field investigations,in-depth interviews and other methods to describe in detail the current life of the rural elderly from the two levels of material foundation and spiritual needs,and strive to fully reflect the status quo of rural elderly care,and explore the hidden needs of rural elderly,for the rural elderly The improvement of elderly care services provides a certain reference.
