As a special minor groups, rural children left behind has gradually caused widespread concern in the community in recent years, due to the widespread media attention and concentration reports,it’s reinforces the importance of this social problem of children left behind in rural areas However, it is worth noting that the media active commitment to social responsibility at the same time, but also exposed the lack of social responsibility. Based on this, the main use of the relevant theories of sociology and journalism, through qualitative analysis, case studies and other methods, to collect, collate and analyze the reports on rural children left behind on television, newspapers and networks in recent years, summarizes the current situation of children left behind in rural areas reported, analysis the news production mechanism and its influencing factors behind reporte of rural children left behind, and then explore the direction the media reported that efforts should be made in.The paper first summarizes a series of studies and the study results, and then clarify the aims of my thesis, significance and innovative at the same time define the concept of left-behind children in rural areas, disadvantaged groups, media responsibility, humane care to ensure that the researchconfidence in the results and reasonable. On this basis, classify the thematic coverage of rural children left behind, and summary reports from the group characteristics of rural children left behind, then analyzes the performance for lack of responsibility and all sorts of hazards of the media reports of children left behind in rural areas, delve into the underlying causes of the lack of media responsibility, the problem of children left behind in rural areas can not be solved in a short period of time, media reports should focus on media responsibility to improve human spirit establishment of truly vulnerable groups reported to play its due role of public opinion guidance.
