Laser imaging becomes a popular research program in many countries, and a great number of products based on this technology have been widely applied in multiple fields. The laser imaging technique which based on rage gating is one of few laser imaging technology of focal plate which is industrialized and has wide field angle and high space resolution as advantages. This article is about research of industrialization of and analysis of delayed accuracy’s effect to imaging quality, provide a thought of replacing accurate time control by accurate measurement and complete the design of hardware and experimental verification that gating slice imaging triggers control system.Firstly, the research progress of the domestic and foreign slice imaging was analyzed, and the development of the technology of time interval measurement t and the local bus technology was introduced. The accuracy of the time as well as the influence factors of slice imaging was clarified, and the method of improving the accuracy without changing the laser power and pulse width was put forward.Secondly, multiple imaging experiments were performed using general equipment, the signal differences and trigger demands between different peripherals were clear and definite. Then, the equipment working sequence would be summed up. The gated laser imaging system based on construction of gated slice of CPCI was proposed.Next, the hardware design of the multi-functional timing control modules was described respectively. Modules can be approximately divided into several parts, including CPCI interface module, FPGA timing series logic module, TDC time interval measurement module and DA output module.Finally, the simulation and experiment based on gated slice imaging was carried out, the distance accuracy of imaging is centimeter. With 3DMAX software construction of the imaging target was finished; through the simulation software, the target distance information had been got, and the data was imported into Matlab for numerical calculation. The image quality before and after time error was contrasted, the accuracy of the distance was analyzed, and the feasibility of the imaging experimental program was tested and verified. Using self-study modules, build platform imaging, made gated slice imaging for target. According to centroid algorithm and delay time after calibration, the data processing was in progress, the distance accuracy of imaging is centimeter.
