An Analysis On The Japanese Youth Campus Series By Narratology Perspective

Chinese youth campus TV series, "Meteor Garden", has been a time of recession since 2001. Compared with Japan at present, Chinese youth campus TV series, no matter the product quantity or quality is reduced to absolute inferiority. Youth campus TV related research, especially in other countries’ outstanding works as the research objective of the research has further been diluted. In this paper, from the perspective of narratology, system, in-depth analysis of Japan’s excellent youth campus TV series, is expected to help to the development of Chinese youth campus TV series.In this paper, Chinese and Japanese youth campus series from 2004 to 2014 are analyzed by the characteristics of youth campus series theme, structure, plot, character areas. The study is from a narrative point of view, a text-based analysis, then exploring its significance for reference.Studies suggest that Japanese youth campus series are bold innovations: In subject matters, they are good use of domestic advantage for adaption; the structure is not limited to a single narrative perspective, focusing on causality, dramatic effect used in different structures; in terms of good use of the strength of the plot intertwined conflicts and open suspense story frame building, increasing the absolute intensity of the plot; in terms of focusing on the character and function of character combining psychological, between the characteristics of the protagonist through a complementary manner to strengthen character, promote the development of the plot. China should be improved from the theme, plot and character terms, thus opening up the China Youth Campus TV series market. The main measures are: excellent reference work, the local elements into the subject matter, creating a more valuable and innovative story; emphasis intensity control plot, suspense and an open event causality desire to strengthen the opera audience, through strong narrative weak contradictory stories interweave to improve mood and rhythm; strengthening round figure set, a reasonable allocation of the psychological characteristics and features of each protagonist between the protagonist either too weak to avoid being ignored.
