The smart phone become widespread since the launch of IPhone, The mainstream Android, iOS and Windows Phone system dominate the most of the market share, which changed the habit of the conventional phone, the phone is not only the tools that making phone c alls and sending message any more, but more and more functions are applied such as playing games, listening music, GPS navigation, watching video, taking pictures and searching for the needed information, and so on. Multimedia application processing chip is one of most vital application. Especially as the rise of the LTE and population, 4G license issued in China which support LTE communication is becoming an indispensable part of mobile communication, Thus, it’s a quite meaningful topicto design a mobile terminal with real-time processing ability, low consumption and strung expandability which targeting to meet the customer’s multifunction and high performance requirement of handheld device.Firstly, in this thesis introduces the current market profile of smart phone and research background, compares the mainstream solutions of hardware and software which elaborates master chip Qualcomm MSM8916 and Android with unique performance advantages in their respective fields.Secondly, it illustrates LTE multi-mode multi-frequency front-end architecture, describes the problems and solutions after integration of LTE communication function. Combining the mobiledeigns, it introduces the baseband system composition and working princ iple. Introduce the power management system architectural philosophies, the working princ iple of various types of power supply and actual distribution result as well.At last of this thesis, the LTE RF test and some key functional module test method, test data and test process, are introduced.From the final test and result, the hardware design elaborated here reaches the expected design goal and high performance.Appropriate supply power for each module are supplied by management system, which guarantees the stability of the system operation and energy saving, the peripheral interface has been verified working properly, LTE high-speed data transmissioncharacteristics canmeet the increas ing exchange of information user requirement, achieved the Smart phone MP goal of based on market demand.
