Nowadays, mobile phone has become indispensable communication tool, and text messages have gradually become the main way of public mobile communication. Application of enterprise SMS system can establish effective channels of large-scale business information and convenient circulation between enterprises or between enterprises and employees. The short messages can not only be used in security transmission by dynamic message business documents or follow up important business process, but also can be used to timely notify important events and send warm holiday greetings to the employees and customers.Under this background, this paper researched and developed an industrial workshop messages system based on Web Service technology. The detail research works include:1) The paper did the feasibility analysis for industrial workshop SMS based on the present situation, identified the core concepts of the application, established the relationships between concepts and formed a domain model. The system was divided into three subsystems: SMS receiving subsystem, SMS sending subsystems and SMS management subsystem. The paper established the use case model to determine the usability, performance and scalability of non-functional requirements.2) From the logical view, the network view, deployment view and data view, the paper designed the architecture of the system, and integrated external systems through Web Service technologies. SMS receiver subsystem was designed and implemented in details, which published the messaging service interface for external application by using Web Service technology. After the subsystem received and parsed messages, it would call the interface of SMS sending subsystem to create the trigger for message forwarding. The SMS sending subsystem was designed and implemented based on the Restful Web Service technology. It used Quartz to realize the trigger function, and the corresponding messages could be sent to the suppliers periodically bytriggers. The SMS management subsystem was designed and implemented by three-tier architecture; and it interacted with the database to manage the parameters of system.3) The paper not only did the testing for the system functions and the interfaces required by external applications, but also did performance testing on the number of concurrent systems 100. The test results showed that the system can achieve the intended requirements to meet users’ needs.The system has been applied in the pre-production environment. The results of the production trial run show that the industrial workshop SMS meets the actual needs of the workshop, along with good stability and scalability.
