The Development Of Short Message Transceiver And Its Application In Management Information System

SMS is a very popular business in mobile communication at present.There are three major parts in this paper. The first part is about the short message transceiver hardware development. The second part is about SMS datagram analysis. The third part is about an examination score management system that users can query scores by sending a short message, which is programmed in Visual Basic.The central component of the device is SIEMENS TC35I cellular engine. By analyzing the application program interface of TC35I wireless module, the peripheral circuit is designed. Through the device we can receive or send short messages. Actually, the short message transceiver is a mobile station in mobile communication system.The short message is received or sent by the communication between PC and the transceiver we have designed. When a new message arrives, the transceiver sends the data to the application program through the serial port. By analyzing the short message datagram, the content of user's message including its phone is picked up by application program. The program searches the score in the database of SQL Server according to the user's requests, encodes the results in the form of SM datagram and returns the datagram to the transceiver through the serial port. Finally, the message will be sent to the destination through the GSM network.There are applications in many fields, such as weather forecast, quotations of the stock market, remote controlling and so on. In this paper, I have understood the principle of SMS thoroughly, so that I can make great progress in SMS.
