The Disign And Implementation Of An Appraisal Case Management System

Forensic appraisal is the main job of the institute of forensic science(IFS). The business scope of IFS is very broad and it has eight professional offices, which includes the office of criminal technical appraisal, forensic toxic chemistry, forensic psychiatry, forensic medicine in appraisal of material evidence, forensic pathology, forensic clinical medicine, road traffic accident technical appraisal, and the judicial appraisal system and regulations. IFS can provide the help and the service for any judicial office, enterprise and institution, social group and individual in the whole society.Recently, with the flourishing development of the enterprise informatization, the wide application of computer technology, and the demand of improving the e-government construction, to implement the appraisal case management informatization by the modern computer technology becomes the key study topic in IFS to improve the administrative efficiency and work quality in recent years. So, it is significance to study how to establish a safe, efficient, standardized appraisal case management system.The research background, and the overseas and domestic research status of the appraisal case management system are first introduced in this paper. Then after analyzing the business of the appraisal case management, the problems which need to be solved in the appraisal case management system have been illustrated. Though the demand analysis of appraisal case management, the overall design is developed in system structure, business process, system function, data structure, etc. The appraisal case management system development solution is based on the B/S architecture, ASP.NET implementation layer and SQL SERVER database management system. The system mainly involves the process management of the case acceptance, appraisal and close, such as case registration, case receiving, case number assigned, case started, case appraisal, case review, case issued, case activating management, case subcontract, report sending, etc.The system designed and implemented in this paper has been launched online, and have received the expected demand objective of IFS. The implementation and application of the system indicate the digitization and informatization development prospect of the appraisal case management, improve the administrative efficiency and work quality, and make the appraisal case management more specification, efficient and scientific.
