With the increasing demand on the application of earth remote sensing satellite, we need to get high resolution imaging on the surface of the earth, penetrate vegetation found hidden underground target, and obtain abundant land and marine geographic information and military intelligence. In order to realize the remote sensing satellite imaging capabilities of high resolution, wide field of view and multi polarization, 6000~11000 Mbps data transmission is proposed for satellite payload, and the ability of X-band data transmission system can not be the demand, so it is necessary to design a high speed data transmission system with high frequency band. The accurate analysis of space transmission factors, reasonable planning link energy resources and a comprehensive analysis of data transmission application is the to ensure the efficient and accurate transmission of data. This paper demonstrates the space environment and equipment performance factors of high speed data transmission with satellite and the ground station by theory analysis, systematically evaluates the Ka-band channel quality by model simulation and provides the basis for design of all aspects of space link. According to the characteristics of satellite orbit, based on the comprehensive analysis of data transmission application, transmission scheme is proposed for the high speed data transmission system of a certain satellite. The overall design of high speed data transmission system of a certain satellite is completed, on the basis of realization project, to lay the foundation for the development of a certain series satellite system.
