The management of material and storage is the key to the success of the supply chain management for discrete manufacturing enterprises, and this do the same to the agricultural machinery manufacturing enterprises which run as a typical discrete manufacturing enterprise. With the continuously increase of the company scale, business scale and business categories, traditional management mode of material and storage for agricultural machinery manufacturing enterprises have been exploding more and more disadvantages constantly, such as complicated operation process of in-out stock, heavy workload and error-prone inventory business, real-time inventory data cannot be updated to the system database, management cost increase fast and so on.Currently, it is a hot issue no matter in China or abroad to apply cutting-edge technology and advanced management philosophy in handling disadvantages of material management for traditional discrete manufacturing enterprises which could in some way improve management efficiency, decrease management cost, ensure the fluency of manufacturing material supply and make big profits for the company.In order to solve problems constantly occur in current agricultural machinery manufacturing enterprises, this article uses some technologies of IOT like barcode, ZigBee, and RFID in the process of company material management. This paper proposes a kind of new material classification method according to the deficiencies of current material management firstly and then makes a detailed definition of EPC tags’ code for the good of apply RFID tags in the managing process of materials. This paper also makes a detailed description of the material code.Considering the actual situation of an agricultural machinery manufacturing enterprises this paper analyzes the general situation of this company’s production management model and business process. Make a detailed research to the technical architecture and technical solution on the application of IOT technology in the material management process of agricultural machinery manufacturing enterprises. Analyze the data flow and design the database. Developed a real time material information update function module, a set number remind and inventory information forewarning function module, a warehouse environment monitoring and forewarning function module, a RFID tags defining and management function module. Apply RFID tags and some relative equipments to improve the material management efficiency,and tell the details of definition for EPC code, make a detailed designation of the each function module for the system. Design the integrated interface for the system based on the PDM, ERP system that the enterprise has already equipped, and realize the development and application of the whole system. Implement real-time collection of material information,simplify material business operation process, finally improve the material management efficiency and also improve the reference value of material data for company to make big decisions.
