With the development of Internet technology, network traffic has changed, from the previous "best effort" data business to emerging applications now. End- users are demand for high-capacity bandwidth, network fossilization has become increasingly prominent, but the demand for self-controling the network infrastructure are also expanding, the existing network architecture has been unable to meet the development needs of the new business. Therefore, mainly the article proposed optical network virtualization architecture based Web Service to provide virtualization technology, which will help ease the rigid network to realize the needs of the user to control the optical paths.Based on the concept of IAAS, in the article the emerging business is abstracted physical resources(OXC, link) virtualization business, in essence, the abstract process is how to use of network resources to build an optical network virtualization layer. The construction of the virtualization layer of optical network, mainly combines OXC-WS with Link-WS to respectively achieve the virtualization of OXC and link resources in the optical network.The service of constructing virtualization layer is designed to be a Management System, which is consist of several modulars, the users includes regular users and network administrators. Network administrators can encapsulate network resources(OXC, link) properties, and has the ability to kown the real-time status information of all device resources; ordinary users can query the fixed network resource informations, and implemente its calling function. The emphasis is that Qos services of OXC and link are designed. The exception handling mechanism of OXC reduces equipment response times, because of the users’ improper instructions. The protection and restoration mechanism of the board in OXC ares abstracted as a call to Qos port, while the protection and restoration services in link are divided into grades, to ensure that the Qos users need.Web Service in the article is based on J2 EE development platform. In the simulation experiment, by calling the Web Service API, it simulates the operations of a network administrator and an ordinary user. The network administrator realizes the functions of the device encapsulation and status query;the ordinary users can realize building a virtual optical network business. Therefore, this design has some values, and it will promote the further development of the future optical networks.
