Increasing appearance of new network business, demanding of dynamic and on-demandservice of the network put forward higher requirements to the optical transport network. Followingthe new developing path to support more service, optical transport network need to be turned toservice network gradually, mainly impeding of layered structure of optical networks. O pticalCross-connect (OXC) web service is the device virtualization based on Web Service. Function ofeach node of optical network (OXC) can be abstracted and virtualizedīŧŒachieving networkhardware virtualization via the OXC web service in the optical network, therefore the OXC webservice can provide the basis for the application above. OXC web service can well meet the demandof network transformation.This paper has analyzed the research significance and the major problems of OXC web serviceand achieved the OXC web service system according to the equipment features and web servicetechnology.Firstly, this article has analyzed the optical cross connect resources, characteristics and userdemand, proposed OXC web service implementation solutions. The OXC web service in this paperaccording to the actual demand, the specific project has abstracted the OXC resource attributes、behaviors and given the application programming Interface of the OXC web service system, boththe graphical user interface and the function in the system architecture. In the design of the QoSport, has implemented the business recovery and protection at the port level firstly. The exceptionhandling mechanism of OXC web service can also reduce response times of equipment for theimproper instruction.The executable OXC web service system is built with java language under the environment ofJDK. By calling the API interface function in the OXC web service, the emulator has simulated thebusiness work flow, like the view on the equipment parameters and running state by the networkadministrator; the charge the discharge of the single board, port and backup QoS port by the user/network administrator, It completed the verification of each part work flow of the OXC web service,which proved the feasibility of OXC web service system.
