In this thesis, the system from the user angle, focus on the realization of EPON system for best performance and operation objectives. The thesis study mainly on the system in EPON equipment at office end optical line terminal which has conducted in-depth research and design, including the overall architecture of OLT, the main business model, equipment management system, and according to the uplink bandwidth allocation algorithm to make the research and improvement.The thesis according to the small number of users and business needs to take investigate in detail. Because of the needs of improvement on stable bandwidth areas. This plan uses a passive light access technology based on ethernet. Through the mature EPON access technologies and plan. The thesis has reached the expected goal of access to meet the residential users and the basic needs of the business. Take a reasonable distribution of IP and a good network of protection for the normal operation with the EPON access and maintenance operation stability.In the aspect of system function, the system implements the topology management, configuration management, fault management, performance management and security management. All of them have reached the expected goal which can be better for Ethernet passive optical network to provide detection and information management support for system. In the aspect of technology, this system adopts the mainstream B/S three layers of architecture, using Struts2 framework Hibernate presentation layer and persistence layer framework for division level clear on the system, improve the system scalability, reconfigurability and maintainability, reached a certain leading technology. In addition, the system takes the advantage of Ajax technology, makes the B/S system also has the advantages of the C/S user experience. In the system development process involved in practice, I deeply realized the importance of software process, and the many benefits of the advantages and the software framework of hierarchical brings. Through this thesis, my understanding of the design pattern and framework can be show obviously, and summarizes how to carry on the system development based on framework.
