Under the strategy background of three networks (Telecommunication network,broadcasting television net, Internet) mergence, Radio and television operatorextensively search for a effective, fast and stable multi service access platform. In order tomaintain advantage in the field of radio and television, and occupy a space for one personin the broadband access areas. EPON system which become the preferred access networktechnology have the characteristics of high bandwidth, strong controllability and lowcost;HomePlug AV also have become the perferred cable access technology. In the processof bidirectional network transformations, it gradually explored the technology solutions ofEPON+EOC. Because of the different technical standard for EPON system and EOCsystem, they have the independently network management system.Great inconveniencehave been brought during the provisioning and maintenance.In order to adapt to the needsof market, it is necessary that building unified network management of EPON+EOCsystem.This paper combine with the engineering experience fully. It comparative analysis theprinciple and function of EPON management system and EOC management system. Thecore of EPON management system is OAM protocol, and the core of EOC managementsystem is MME protocol. These two protocol are incompatible. Currently, the way used torealize the unified management system is SNMP protocol, which expose so manyproblems in enginneering. This paper, based on the externed OAM, innovatively put outthe complete solutions which contain the principle of system design, technical route andexperimental results.based on researching the principle and characteristic of EPON system and EOCsystem. The last, it summarize the necessity and feasibility of EPON+EOC unifiednetwork management system.In terms of design, it in depth analysis the OAM agreement of EPON system,including OAM discovery process and OAMPDU.By the way of externing OAM, it definethe new OAMPDU and corresponding process to meet the demand of EOC systemmanagement, and then extend OAM management domain into EOC system. It is really that realizing the unified management of EPON and EOC system, and satisfied the demand ofcontrolllable and managable network.In technical lines, it make full use of the existing EPON network management systemand EOC web network management system, and reference SNMP standard newtorkmanagement requirements for EPON and EOC system formulated by State Administrationof radio, then mapping the element node in SNMP to MME domain. Adding externedOAM sub module which is used between OLT and CBAT for connecting the EPONmanagement system and EOC managment system in CBAT,we complete the conversionfrom FOAMPDU to MME.At last, it is realize the management form end to end.In experiment, through the above way, automatic topology discovery, alarminformation report and CNU configuration sending. The experiment results show thatthrough the mode of software module expansion, EOC system could be transited smoothlyand switched seamlessly. It has important theoretical value and practical significance.
