The application of level monitoring technology is more and more widely, and multi-point level monitoring system also makes increasing technical requirements: accurate measurement and control; stable performance; easy installation and maintenance; easy to expand multiple nodes or more parameters; processing large amounts of data quickly and easily; network remote access; people-oriented, safe and convenient; low consumption and sustainable development. To meet so many performance requirements, selecting the communication protocol of the system is particularly important.CAN bus technology can truly realize "centralized management, decentralized monitoring and control," which is expected to improve the level monitoring system, for example, stable communication performance, accurate real-time data and the ability to adapt to the harsh environment. CAN protocol has the following features: Multi-Master control; facilitate expansion; independent receive and reduce MCU overhead, efficiency and low consumption; non-destructive arbitration, accurate and reliable; communication rate for reunification; remote data requests; error processing automatic:fault closed automatic; easy connection. MCP2515 is a independent CAN controllers, which is feature-rich, performance stable, applications wider, can simplify the application and CAN bus connection.The low power consumption easy expansion networked level monitoring system, is a data acquisition, processing, monitoring system, which can conduct real-time monitoring of the level and the core of a complete system is CAN bus. The main tasks of the MCU is acquisition and processing information and uploading it to the PC, and the main task of the PC is CAN data communication, good interactive, simple and efficient data processing and convenient network connectivity solutions. MCU join the CAN bus via CAN controller and CAN transceiver; PCI-1680U is a universal PCI communication card, which has 2-port isolation CAN interface, enabling easy connection to PC and CAN bus.CAN protocol automatically determine whether to receive messages, automatic error handling and other functions will greatly reduce the cost of the MCU, reducing power consumption; MSP430 is specifically designed in the low-power mode and the clock system, reasonable configuration it can achieve better low-power effect. When adding a CAN bus node, set the value of its acceptance filter register in order to change its identifier, and then initialization its CAN controller, successfully added into CAN bus, which will not affect other nodes on the bus, easily extended. CAN bus supports distributed, network-based; PC can easily access to the Internet, and easily achieve the client database server and remote monitoring; SMS function uses the GSM network, enables remote, real-time query and call for urgency.In summary, this paper demonstrates the design and production of a practical, stable, efficient, accurate, low power consumption, easy to expand, easy centralized management of large data network intelligent remote monitoring level system. This system can be applied to most of the level monitoring field, and can also be applied by other monitoring and control areas, which has high theoretical significance and practical value.
