As a new generation of power electronics products, The application of IGBT involves the various sectors of the national economy, Because of the advantage of high input impedance, high switching frequency and peak current of large capacity, low power consumption, IGBT plays an irreplaceable role in the field of energy saving industry, so as a key technology, design a good performance IGBT driver protection circuit is necessary.Based on 1μm 600 V BCD technology platform, this subject designes a drive circuit for 600 V IGBT, which can be widely used in PWM motor control, DC-AC inverters and other areas. The chip parameters and indicators include: The input voltage ranges from 14 V to 18 V, the maximum floating bias voltage is 600 V, the peak output current is 1 A/-2 A, the circuit integrates under-voltage protection, over temperature protection, and other functions, can be compatible with 3.3 V to 5 V TTL logic control signals.In the process, through the analysis of the common IGBT driver, we determine the overall structure and design parameters of the circuit, and then began to analysis and design the circuit of each sub-module circuit. This paper analyzed the following modules in detail: input logic circuit, narrow width expanding circuit, 5V power conversion circuit, the current reference circuit and undervoltage protection circuit. By using the simulation software Hspice, the circuit’s properties are verified.Finally, the paper briefly describes the functions of the remaining sub-module of the circuit, according to the function of each sub-circuit, analysis how this driver protection circuit works in detail, and using simulation software Hspice to verification the low part of the drive circuit.
