Since the 1980 s, the mobile telecommunication technology developed rapidly, it has been from the first generation development to the fourth generation(4G). Growing popularity of the mobile telecommunication devices has become an indispensable part of daily life, this makes consumers to enjoy a more rapid and convenient service.Because of the rapid development and expanding application fields of the mobile telecommunication technology, the receivers have to increase their functionalities and performances.With the theory of software radio, the receivers based on the software radio technology has been widely used, especially in the mobile telecommunication base station, digital broadcasting and television, radar and so on, their applications scenario have been more widely. The signal processing chip like FPGA, because of its efficient processing capacity, has gradually become an indispensable part of the digital receiver. With the use of high performance FPGA chips, it can be more efficient and stable to process the signal in the software radio way.With the study of the mobile telecommunication base station signal receiver, finally it can monitor different base station through the processing of the signal of the mobile telecommunication base station. This paper describes the theoretical method for mobile telecommunication base station monitoring, and put forward two kinds of research programs:Program ?: This program is the traditional receiver which based on FPGA and PC, this receiver completes the energy detection, data acquisition and other preprocessing on the FPGA hardware platform. Then this program would complete the monitoring of the base station by doing further analysis on the PC side.Program II: In order to adapt to the rapid development of mobile communication technology and handle the high-speed, high-bandwidth signal in the future, the receiver program with the versatility and scalability which are based on the PCI Express bus signal processing platform will be proposed in this paper. According to the function of signal processing, this program can select the appropriate signal processing board via expansion interface, The data of each board can be transmitted via the high-speed PCI Express bus.This program has high integration, strong flexibility and versatility.After the completion of the Program ?, the overall functionality were tested, the test results show that the accuracy of this program. The PCI Express bus signal processing platform of Program II has been designed.
