Pork consumption in China occupies the main position of meat consumption, so pork quality is very important for national economy and people’s livelihood. In recent years, slaughtering, processing, and marketing numerous unqualified pork throughout the country. Spate of harmful pork events lead to panic, serious impact on people’s health and social stability. Due to the use of traditional backwa--rd methods of information collection, nonstandard operation, and so on problems in pork quality traceability system, it almost has no effect on market. So in this thesis, based on the present situation of pig industry in China and requirements of new traceability technology, a pork traceability system based on RFID is designed and implemented. The main work is as follows:Firstly, Studding and discussing the food traceability system’s present situation in China and abroad, including the research history and the technologies used. Analyzing the current pork traceability system requirements and the problems and deficiencies of existing traceability system. To solve these problems, puts forward to establish a safe, convenient, fast and practical pork traceability system solutions.Secondly, Studding RFID QT technology, Web Service technology and SSL protocol, and based on those technologies, a pork traceability system based on RFID is designed. In this system, RFID QT tag is used as traceability information carrier, Web Service is used as external application programming interface and SSL is used as the client and server software’s communication protocol.At last, A set software of traceability system for current node based on C/S model and pork traceability website based on B/S mode were implemented and tested.Pork traceability system based on RFID is using high safety RFID QT tag as a carrier and using OpenSSL secure socket programming to link the client and server side software.
