RFID (Radio Frequency Identification). RFID is a non-contact, automatic identification technology. It has been in used in the retail, product stream, transportation, medical, defense and other fields. With the RFID system is widely used in all fields, the reusability and extensibility of RFID application has been lower down, and the complication of the RFID application has been higher up. In order to solve all these problems, people started to use the RFID middleware. It is valuable to study technology of RFID middleware and propose the scheme of RFID application. In this paper, the work includes:1. Study the technology of RFID application from studying meat traceability system. Study and analyze RFID applications the domestic and foreign. It has great value to study the RFID middleware, proved by the analysis of problems in technology of RFID and in meat traceability system.2. Introduce the study of RFID middleware. Through the analysis of the characteristics of the RFID middleware and the characteristics of meat traceability system, pointed out characteristics of application of RFID middleware in meat traceability system. Propose the problems that RFID middleware of meat traceability system should solve.3. Study the key technology for the RFID middleware need in meat traceability system. The paper analysis characteristics of the data flow in the RFID-based Meat traceability system, and point out types of data problem that the RFID middleware should face. Then, discussed the corresponding data processing approach. To meet the need of richer semantic data, the article discusses the complex event processing technology.4. Analysis of the problems above, this paper proposed the construction of RFID middleware of Meat Traceability System. According to the design, this middleware model is divided into the edge server layer, message layer, data integration layer, and the control layer. The edge server layer is responsible for equipment and communications management; message layer is responsible for data processing; data integration layer responsible for data distribution and data storage. The control layer is mainly responsible for the scheduling of the various functional modules work together.This paper has realized the RFID middleware system for meat-traceability system, has solved key technologies in the problem of RFID middleware design well. The RFID middleware has achieved the basic function which the middleware needs in meat-traceability system.
