The Design And Realization Of Management System Of Journal Of Fuzhou College Of Foreign Studies And Trade

In recent years, with the rapid development of computer network technology, computer network technology has been used extensively in the university periodicals and journals, it’s a trend to change the traditional manual mode, and realize the network of manuscript management and office automation. Therefore, it’s imperative to construct the manuscript management platforms based on the Internet for management systems of university periodicals and journals.The management system of Journal of Fuzhou College of Foreign Studies and Trade is designed according to the business process of author submission, peer review and the manuscript management of the editorial department. By using the three layer Web structure of “IIS+ASP+ SQL Server Database” and adopting the "B/S" system structure, it has designed four function modules: author submission subsystem, peer review subsystem, editorial management subsystem and website management subsystem. The four modules interrelate and interact, let the authors, reviewers and editors be an organic whole, and thus realize a series of functions from author submission, primary check and approval of manuscript, second check and approval of manuscript, peer review to manuscript acceptance and web publishing, satisfying the needs of contributing authors, reviewers and the editors of the Journal Department. As a member of the project group, the author of this paper mainly involved in issues related to research, feasibility analysis and system function design etc.The journal management system will raise the concern and attention of authors and improve submission enthusiasm; will shorten the peer review time and improve the quality of manuscripts; will reduce the workload of editors and strengthen standardized management, shorten the cycle of each link, and comprehensively improve work efficiency. And by changing the traditional manual mode, the system will improve the level of service, make the journal management more automatic, informationized and scientific,and finally promote the journal’s propagation force, influence and competitiveness.
