Microwave power module(MPM) will be applied more and more widely in the next generation of electronic warfare(EW) systems, as a new generation of microwave power device which combines the advantages of both solid-state amplifier and electronic vacuum amplifier. The microwave gain equalizer is used in the power module in great amount, to make the amplitude frequency characteristics of traveling wave tube flat,and to solve the travelling wave tube amplifier gain uneven problems.Furthermore the key technology of the solid state drive module in MPM is the equalization of amplitude required stringently in such as miniaturization, large measure of equalization, easily tuning, high precision of equalization. The technology characters are paid more and more attention.Existing microwave equalizer simulation software design cycle spends a lot of time, design testing and improvements are always in the same time.When the high frequency signal through the transmission lines, can produce a variety of distribution parameters.Due to the distributed parameter effect, thus caused a large amount of microwave equalizer design calculation, and an error caused by theoretical calculation and the actual situation.In base of the design method and modeling of the microwave equalizer made by the forebears, and combining the advantages of the equalizer design of the circuit and the large capacity computer, high speed operation. With the introduction of using the Microsoft visual studio software to programme C#, analysis of the model and structure of microwave equalizer. Then based on the Microsoft visual studio software simulation and optimization of the circuit, combine both of them to design microwave equalizer.Developed equalizer model design software based on AWR. The design of the software is using the combined method of field road on the equilibrium curve. Simulation design of Equalizer working frequency bandwidth, the balancing precision and input/output standing wave coefficient are measured.In the end, the design of the development platform is used to design and manufacture 2-6 GHZ microwave gain equalizer to verify, then made by the designed equalizer for production and test out the results of the equalizer,test result is very good,precision of equalization is less than ±1 d B.
