Multi-Purpose Tester is a routine test platform for the electronics engineer multifunctional, It based on data- acquisition system and include a number of the most commonly used set of electronic measuring instruments, including digital storage oscilloscope, digital multimeter, function generator, frequency and DC power supply and so on, creating a powerful data acquisition and testing capabilities.This article describes the overall architecture and modular system components, digital storage oscilloscope module as the core of the system, complete the signal source module, the digital multimeter module, frequency meter module, power module communication and control, mainly on the design and debugging of oscilloscope and multimeter module, including software system interface, the underlying drive to achieve, and the reliability of multi-module design collaborative work. The main contents of this article as follows:1. the oscilloscope data acquisition system using FPGA+DSP implementation. By analyzing the principle of peripheral modules, the preparation of the relevant underlying software drivers, ADC receives accurate and reliable high-speed data streams to achieve real-time sampling rate of up to 1GSPS. For Further Study automatic calibration mode, accurate calibration of the channel and various stalls trigger baseline level, and research and design a manual calibration process, accomplishing a complete channel calibration solution.2. Designed the real-time sampling and equivalent sampling two sampling methods, study equivalent sampling method by pulse broadening accurate count, and have solved the equivalent sampling trigger delay under such equivalent sampling rate reached 100 GSPS, accurate reproduce the high-frequency waveforms.3. Interface program and display interface have designed for each module that allows users to switch between the various modules. Design multi-interface communication between the motherboard and sub-module, using a variety of programs to ensure the correct operation of the system to achieve the overall coordination of control and operation of the system. Study the reliability of the system software design depth and applied the result to multi-interface communication.4. Designed the measurement and control of digital multimeter, analyze recipient data packet format to achieve a precise measurement switch between various modes and accurate measurements. Design the overall architecture of keyboard module,complete scan control buttons and knobs.Difficulties of this article is coordinate multi-module communication, high rate equivalent sampling oscilloscope, and achieve accurate measurements of multimeter. Through the debugging of multi-function universal tester machine, all functions and parameters have reached the intended target. switching between the various modules work properly. completed and delivered quantities of prototype machine.
