Study On Newspapers Digital Transformation Based Mobile App

Mobile network is penetrating users’ everyday life. News reading habits of mobile phone users presents new features. The changes of technology and audience’s reading habits promote the newspaper transition to the new media. With the popularity of mobile terminals, newspaper extends the channel to mobile phones, tablet PCs and other intelligent terminal equipment. The study of mobile news apps has a practical significance.This paper is divided into four parts. The first chapter sets out the reason of this topic, literature review, significance, research methods and innovations. The second part reviews the background and course of the newspapers’ digital transformation, including the development of mobile Internet, the change of news and the form of newspapers’ digital transformation. The third part defines the concept of the news apps and outlines the status of news apps.Some representative apps such as portal websites’ news apps, "headlines today", "PengPai News" were selected to analyze different characteristics of different founders. The fourth part summed up some experience of news apps.The practice of newspapers shows its unique characteristics. Its advantage lies in the content, unique resources, and the disadvantage is technology and thinking methods. I contrasted and summarized at the pros and cons of each other, and proposed a few suggestions for the business of newspaper apps.
