Visualizaiton Research On Forestry Resources Database Management System Based On ArcGIS

Over several years, Along with the development of the network technology,database technology,3S technique (geographic information system GIS, remotesensing RS, and Global Positioning System GPS), they provide a powerful technicalsupport for huge forestry resources data management. However, with the datavisualization technology is introduced to the forestry resources data management, Onthe one hand it upgrade the application maneuverability, on the other hand to make upfor the traditional data management way of visualization shortage.The data will bedirectly expression by rich image, charts, symbols or other forms.Jilin province’s forest region distribut widely, forestry resources have hugequantity, great variety, the source of data and the form of the data are various, thetraditional management mode on the function can’t meet the demand. So, based on theexisting forest resources database management, taking the geographic informationsystem (GIS) for spatial data management of computer technology, developed theforestry resources data application system which is in different role of forestry ofpersonnel management in this paper.This paper summarized the forestry resources data management system’s currentsituation at home and abroad, aim at the development situation of Jilin province forforestry resources data management requirements, achieved forestry resources datamanagement and maintenance, further expand the management system of theapplication of visualization, so as to improve the forestry resources data informationmanagement efficiency, make forest management decision-making more logical,scientific and standard.This paper is focused on the research about one of geographic informationsystem development tools, ArcGIS, which is as a mainstream development platform,based on Oracle database to through C#as a development tool, using the relatedtheory and technology foundation, according to the original forest resources databasemanagement system to visual design and research again, keying to realize theapplication of code table, data layer, maps browsing.Starting from the compatibility and sharing of the database, there also haveexpansion module interface in the development studies of the system, in order to thefurther development of the system, perfect and maintenance in the future.
