With the continuous development of Vo IP technology, multimedia communication applications based on existing IP network infrastructure has gotten an unprecedented development. SIP, as one of the mainstream Vo IP signaling control protocol, with its simple, easy to expand, easy to realize, and many other advantages, has gained more and more favour of the industry. While SIP protocol promoting the development of Vo IP, in the meantime a large number of excellent open source SIP-based communication products launched. And selecting the appropriate open source platform to build internal IP telephony system for small and medium enterprises can effectively reduce communication costs.Based on the research and analysis of VoIP technology and SIP protocol, the paper proposes to use of the open source SIP server Kamailio and open source IP PBX software Asterisk to build an IP telephony system for small and medium enterprises. Through in-depth study of Kamailio and Asterisk application development, combine with the use of their respective advantages, then build an IP telephony system based on database storage. The system consists of two parts, voice system and voice information management system. Voice system by Kamailio integration with Asterisk implements basic call including SIP terminal, soft phone and ordinary telephone, voicemail, conference calling, call history and other functions; voice information management system based on the industry mainstream Java EE technology using popular open source framework Spring, implementes a Web management system which has a SIP user management, voicemail management, telephone conference management, dialplan management, call management features. Finally, the main functional modules of the entire IP telephony systems were tested, the experimental results achieved the desired effect. The system is easy to use, simple to manage, low costs and has a strong scalability, which can be widely used for internal communications in small and medium enterprises.
