With the development of marine economy activities,"one belt one road" was put forward, the maritime radio technology is becoming more and more important. The marine environment to establish the electromagnetic wave propagation model can provide an important support for the establishment of marine communication and information system with full coverage. The establishment of reasonable prediction accuracy and can be used for the pagation of electromagnetic wave propagation model of sea environment is the main work of this paper.The paper first described the the development of land radio technology, the basic theory of radio wave propagation and modeling method. To make a theoretical foundation for the following research.Then analysis the applicability conditions of three kinds of widely usedradio propagation model: Okumura-Hata, Egli, Longley-Rice.then using Matlab simulation to contrast from the transmission frequency, transmission distance, the transmitter antenna height, the receiver antenna height four aspects,comparison of the results with the measured data, summarized Longley-Rice propagation model is a more close to the actual propagation model of radio waves of the sea.In view of the fact that the Longley-Rice model highly agreed with sea wave transmission, so research focus on it. As the sea radio transmission model to analyze. Comparing with Wenchang measured data and the simulation data of Matlab and ITM simulation software, Obtains the Longley-Rice model for the transmission of radio waves at sea, have the guaranteed of high precision and error control.However, Longley-Rice modeling of the basic ideas and not just on the marine environment, also need according to the characteristics of the marine environment and further amendments.Finally, analysis the characteristics of radio propagation in the sea, from the two part to consider model correction:1Radio in the sea is similar to the free space propagation, can transmit long generally, the curvature of the earth will have an impact on the radio wave propagation. According to the characteristics of the radio wave propagation, the long distant waters radio propagation distance is divided into three areas. And separately modified loss calculation, improve the accuracy of the model.2Considering the effects of wave, the sea propagation considerations the sea propagation into irregular terrain propagation, set the irregular terrain parameters, to scatter simulation waves effects, to achieve the calibration of Longley-Rice model. Simulation results show the result is effective for the correction of Longley-Rice model.
