As the human entering the21st century, energy crisis and environmental pollution problem are becoming more and more important factors which restrict economic and social development. To realize sustainable development, human have to build the saving resources and environment friendly society, which improves the efficiency of comprehensive energy utilization. To actively improve the energy structure, human must try to explore new energy and renewable energy, by the way of advocating to use the clean energy. What the above descriptions have been becoming a universal consensus by all the global governments. In the field of new energy and renewable energy, solar energy is a natural and clean energy, so many countries pay more attention to it.China has a lot of renewable energy. Therefore, the Chinese government strongly advocates and actively supports the development of photovoltaic power generation enterprises in recent years. With more and more independent and grid photovoltaic power station having been constructed.This trade is making a demonstration effect to the national energy conservation,at the same time it will lay a solid foundation for the new energy power generation.But in most of the builted photovoltaic power station, the construction of remote address and traffic block lead to the lower informational management level and the lower automatic level.This paper built a set of complete remote monitoring system of photovoltaic power station, by using the computer network and the data processing technology. This system could realize the function of real-time data acquisition,display and transmission. At the same time, it could integrate the monitoring and control in local and remote areas. This system has many technical characteristics, such as powerful real-time monitoring and complete control. It wil be important and valuable for the daily operation of photovoltaic power station management, equipment maintenance and scientific analysis.Firstly, this paper introduced the domestic and international background of photovoltaic industry, it also introduced the background of the monitoring system of photovoltaic power station. Through the investigation and research, the basic parts of a remote monitoring system of photovoltaic power station and the basic functional requirements were described.Compared to the representative technology plan of the remote monitoring system,according to the practical project, this paper put forward a remote monitoring system, based on MODBUS-RTUProtocol and MODBUS-TCP Protocol. It also detaily describe both hardware and software. Secondly, the paper introduced the design and implementation of the local remote monitoring system and central remote monitoring system.In the local remote monitoring system, it consists the overall structure design, A/D(Analog/Digital)conversion and displayed data controlment. In the central remote monitoring system, it consists the remote communication module and the selection of the GPRS(General Packet Radio Service)wireless communication solutions. At the same time, it describes the advantages and the characteristics of the GPRS wireless communication solutions. How to built the data link communications and data remote transmission were also described.Finally, the design of human-computer interaction interface was described,based on the force control development platform and web browser, Through a various types of windows and friendly interactive interfaces, the system could display a series of real-time operation state parameters, such as the inverter current distribution,fault statistics analysis contrast figure, generating capacity(day, month, year)statistical contrast figure,and the remote load control module. Based on the above functions, it will help to greatly improve the level of power plant information management and operational efficiency. At last, it will help enhance economic benefits of the photovoltaic power station.
