Along with the advance of innovation in the new era of internet, the wireless sensor network (WSN) also progress in innovation, and gradually changes to the information monitoring and processing of new work mode in the field of communication, it also a hot spot under the wave of the network. Wireless sensor network is a kind of low cost, flexible deployment networks, with no infrastructure, and provide a long-term effective automatic monitoring. For real-time monitoring and the application of Internet of things, it has more superiority compared with the traditional technology and a very broad application prospects.As the node setup of wireless sensor network has high flexibility and randomness, and the node’s environment is usually complex, it’s not easy to charge or replacement for a single node, the energy is extremely limited. Therefore, in the view of this practical problem, the primary goal of improving the algorithm and design of data fusion is to reduce energy, to reduce the energy consumption of cluster nodes efficiently, and to minimize the energy consumption of the whole network, then realize to extend the lifetime of the entire network. This thesis mainly research on the data fusion algorithm based on the network layer of wireless sensor network, including the selection of cluster head, the formation of clusters, and the way of transmission between clusters. At the same time according to the characteristics of monitoring objects, formulate specific data fusion algorithm, when the cluster head nodes to transmit data, it can reduces the amount of data and save the energy. This article according to the following several aspects:1. Select three typical level of routing protocols, and research and analysis their relevant improvements in-depth, it mainly includes the detailed algorithm process, thre selection of cluster head and the manner of clusters, data transmission and so on. To make objective evaluation and analysis on the advantages and limitations of performance of various schemes.2. According to the above three kinds of the main advantages of agreements, and combining with the actual situation of the characteristics of monitoring objects and monitoring environment, I put forward a new Chain between Cluster based on uniform Clustering Routing EDCCR (Evenly means Cluster-based Chain Routing) protocol. First of all, I choice even clustering method as the clustering way, it mainly to ensure the uniform distribution of cluster head, and bring the single node residual energy into the selection of cluster head, secondly, the information communicated between the cluster head is adopted into chain way, which avoid the energy excessive consumption of the cluster head, as the distance is far from the sink node in the way of one hop, so as to further save the network energy consumption.3. Finally, I make use OMNeT++simulation software to test the new algorithm EDCCR program, comparison and theoretical analysis with the existing protocol algorithm, proves that the improved scheme under the premise of the normal communication of network, with a balanced energy consumption of the nodes, prolong the lifetime of the network effectively.
